Newsletter March 2018
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are now almost two thirds of the way through the academic year. We have achieved a great deal since September but there is still work to do. At the Easter Fair I was struck by the positive energy in the school and by just how far we have come as a school community since Ofsted visited in November.
Friends of Littlegreen School
I am extremely pleased to tell you that due to the hard work and enthusiasm of the Friends of Littlegreen, over £1360 was raised at the Easter Fair on Saturday. This is an amazing amount for a small school such as ours to raise. The fair was a great success. As well as many parents and staff, ex pupils, locals from surrounding villages and parents with children with SEN from further afield came along. There was wellie wanging, a Petanque challenge, beat the goalie, an Easter egg hunt, a tombola as well as tortoises to meet and snakes to hold. Thanks to the Friends visiting local shops and businesses armed with a letter of authorisation from school, the raffle was very impressive and the hall was packed when the winners were called. Thank you to all the Friends who spent a great deal of time and energy beforehand and on the day organising the fair. What they have achieved in short space of time is really very impressive. Thanks also to Mr Davison who also played a big part in ensuring the fair’s success and to the many staff who came and helped out on the day. Here’s to the Summer Fair!
